1. What WorthDegree Is

WorthDegree is a web-based education ROI tool that provides estimates based on publicly available government data. It is operated as a free resource (with a paid report tier) to help families make informed education decisions.

2. Not Financial, Legal, or Immigration Advice

WorthDegree provides estimates for informational purposes only. It is not:

• Financial advice from a licensed advisor
• Legal advice from an attorney
• Immigration advice (H1B probabilities are statistical estimates, not case assessments)
• A substitute for your school's financial aid office
• A guarantee of future earnings, employment, loan terms, or visa outcomes

Major financial and life decisions should consider factors beyond ROI and should involve consultation with qualified professionals.

3. Data Accuracy & Limitations

Our data comes from public government sources (College Scorecard, BLS, College Board, FSA, USCIS) and is typically 2+ years lagged. Earnings data reflects median outcomes; individual results vary significantly. Opportunity cost uses a 0.65 part-time offset factor — an assumption, not a measured value. Loan rates are updated annually but may change.

We re-validate our pipeline when new data is published, but we do not guarantee the data is current, complete, or error-free. If you find an error, please report it (see About → Corrections).

4. Acceptable Use

You may use WorthDegree for personal decision-making and research. You may not:

• Scrape or republish our report content at scale
• Use the tool to create competing paid advisory services without attribution
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or overload the data pipeline

Our data is from public sources and may be cited with attribution. Our report templates, verdict text, and analysis framework are our own work.

5. Paid Report ($29)

The full ROI report (Routes B and C unlocked) is a one-time purchase of $29, processed via Paddle. If you're not satisfied within 30 days, email us for a full refund — no questions asked. The free Route A report and all calculators remain free permanently.

6. International Student Data

H1B selection rates, sponsor rate estimates, and stay probabilities are based on publicly available USCIS data and industry-level approximations. They are statistical estimates, not predictions for your individual case. Visa policies change (e.g. the 2026 wage-weighted lottery rule) and may rewrite conclusions. For individual immigration decisions, consult a licensed immigration attorney.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted with an updated "Last revised" date at the top of this page.
